Fireworks and Eisa Fun at the 41st Yomitan Village Youth Eisa Festival, August 31 & September 1, 2024

  • Events

Looking for a lively way to wrap up your summer in Okinawa? Well, the 41st Yomitan Village Youth Eisa Festival is coming up on August 31 (Saturday) and September 1 (Sunday), 2024, and it’s got everything you need for a good time—traditional dances, local vibes, and even a fireworks finale! 🎉

What’s This Festival All About? 🥁

Yomitan Village is holding on tight to its Eisa traditions, with performances that mix old-school dance moves, hand gestures, and regional flair. You’ll find ten different groups from Yomitan showing off their unique takes on Eisa, and let me tell you, these aren’t your average dance moves. Expect high kicks, graceful drumstick twirls, and a whole lot of energy.

Who’s Hitting the Stage? 🎤

Each day brings something new:

  • Day 1: Okinawa City Kubota Youth Association is bringing their A-game.
  • Day 2: Okinawa City Sonoda Youth Association takes the spotlight as a special guest.

And if that’s not enough, the festival wraps up with fireworks lighting up the night sky on the second day. 🌟

Where’s All This Happening? 📍

The festival goes down at the OkiHam Yomitan Village Heiwa no Mori Baseball Stadium. Yep, there’s seating, so you can kick back and enjoy the show without having to stand the whole time. And with 12 food stalls and kitchen cars on-site, you won’t have to worry about going hungry either. 🍔
