  • Events

Looking for a fun-filled weekend with local culture, live performances, and a stunning fireworks show? Mark your calendars because the 41st Unna Festival is coming to Onna Village on October 12 (Sat) and 13 (Sun), 2024! It’s the perfect chance to enjoy Okinawa’s unique traditions, some great food, and lively music. Oh, and did I mention there will be fireworks both nights? 🌟

What’s Happening? 🎤💃🕺

The Unna Festival is packed with activities, performances, and special treats for everyone. Whether you’re into traditional Eisa dances, live bands, or even hands-on space exhibits, there’s something for you! And hey, if you’re bringing the little ones, they’ll be thrilled to join in the fish and fruit-catching event! 🐟🍊

The Cool Stuff You Don’t Want to Miss

  • Eisa Dance Performances: Watch the dynamic and powerful performances by local youth groups! They’ll be hitting the stage with their drums and chants, keeping the energy high throughout the evening. 🎶🥁
  • Live Music: From traditional tunes to modern hits, local bands will fill the air with great music all weekend long! 🎸🎤
  • Space and VR Exhibits: Thanks to JAXA’s space communication center in Onna, you can check out an exciting space exhibition and even try out a VR experience! 🌌🚀
  • Fish & Fruit Catching: Yep, you read that right. Kids can dive into a pool and try to catch real fish or grab some fruit. It’s chaos… in the best way possible. 🐟🍇

And of course, the grand finale every night – fireworks! 🎇 On the second night (Oct 13), it’s extra special with the 10th Churaumi Fireworks Festival. More fireworks, more “oohs” and “ahhs”! 🤩
