Looking for a fun weekend filled with fireworks, food, and awesome performances? Look no further! The 32nd Ginoza Village Festival & 9th Churashima Fireworks Festival is happening on October 26th and 27th, 2024 in Ginoza Village, Okinawa! This two-day event has everything: live music, dance performances, a haunted house, bus tours, and – drumroll, please – strawberry fireworks! Yes, you read that right! 🍓✨

🎤 Main Stage Madness

Both days are packed with exciting stage performances. Local favorites, like D-51 (an Okinawan pop duo), and the retro vibes of the REVERSE oldies band, are sure to get you grooving. There’s also a Kamen Rider Gav show for the kiddos (or the young at heart!), along with Eisa dance groups, dance showcases, and more.

🎉 October 26th (Saturday)

  • 12:00 p.m. – Opening Declaration 🎙️
  • 1:00 p.m. – Opening Ceremony & Awards 🏆
  • 1:30 p.m. – Performances by local preschools 🧒
  • 3:00 p.m. – Performances by village districts 🎭
  • 4:10 p.m. – Ginoza Junior High School Brass Band 🎺
  • 5:00 p.m. – Solo Live by Tsuyoshi Higashifuchi 🎸
  • 5:35 p.m. – Creative Eisa by LUCK & Sokei Mizitaya Taiko 🥁
  • 6:25 p.m. – Melofloat performance 🎶
  • 7:15 p.m. – REVERSE (Oldies Band) 🎸
  • 7:50 p.m. – Fireworks (Get ready for the strawberry ones! 🍓🎆)

🎉 October 27th (Sunday)

  • 11:30 a.m. – “Kirari☆Ginoza” Award Ceremony ✨
  • 12:00 p.m. – Kamen Rider Gav Show (kids will love this!) 🦸‍♂️
  • 12:40 p.m. – Hula Performance (Garamon Kids & Halau HalaU’i) 🌺
  • 1:10 p.m. – Karate Demonstration by the Cultural Association 🥋
  • 2:00 p.m. – Village Dance Contest (STYLE “B” TIQUE) 💃
  • 5:00 p.m. – Ryukyu Dance by South American Research Students 🌏
  • 5:15 p.m. – Taiko Drums by Yumehou Matsuda 🥁
  • 6:00 p.m. – Gospel by Soul Bird Choir 🎤
  • 6:30 p.m. – Ginoza GKS Dance Showcase 🕺
  • 7:15 p.m. – D-51 Performance 🎤
  • 7:50 p.m. – Fireworks (Yes, more strawberry fireworks! 🍓🎇)

🎇 Fireworks? Yes, Please!

The fireworks kick off both nights at 7:50 p.m., and the highlight is definitely the strawberry-shaped fireworks. 🍓✨ You’ll never look at strawberries the same way again after seeing them light up the night sky!

Beyond the stage, there’s plenty to do! Grab some tasty snacks from the food stalls (festival food is a must, right?), take a spooky stroll through the haunted house, or hop on the village bus tour to explore the area. It’s a full-on festival experience!
