Spring is here, and so is the vibrant display of trumpet lilies at the Okinawa Comprehensive Athletic Park! If you’re in the area, this is the time to immerse yourself in nature’s beauty and enjoy a stunning floral spectacle.
Event Details
Date: Late April to Early May 2023
Location: Okinawa Comprehensive Athletic Park, 5-3-1 Hiyane, Okinawa City, Okinawa Prefecture

What to Expect?
Set on the picturesque south side of the park, the trumpet lily garden spans more than 1,500 square meters. It’s bursting with color and will have you saying, “Wow!” This year is extra special because, in addition to the usual white trumpet lilies that have their own fan club, the garden will also be showcasing dazzling blooms! That sweet smell wafting through the air? Yeah, it’s just the flowers trying to outdo each other!
A bunch of local preschoolers got busy planting those gorgeous trumpet lily bulbs on February 14. Who knew they’d help bring such beauty to the park? Kids and lilies – a match made in spring heaven!

Park Perks!
Beyond the blooms, Okinawa Comprehensive Athletic Park offers tons of activities. Feel like taking a boat ride? Head to the Bosuitei! Prefer to camp? There’s an auto campsite ready for your tents. Oh, and don’t forget your biking gear because you can rent a bike and cruise around the park like a pro!

Family-Friendly Fun!
Planning to bring the kiddos? The local museum inside the park has a rest area, kids’ room, nursing room, and changing tables, ensuring that parents can chill while the little ones explore.
So, get your cameras ready and let the trumpet lilies brighten up your spring! Who wouldn’t want to enjoy a sea of flowers that’s as pretty as a carpet of color? Happy flower gazing!
