Light Up Your Night with History and Stars 🌟🏰
Katsuren Castle Ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage site, usually closes its gates after dark, but for three nights, it’s open for an evening like no other! Imagine walking through the ancient ruins lit up by bright lights while enjoying all kinds of exciting events. You can camp under the stars, take in live music, or just kick back and watch a movie—all surrounded by breathtaking views.
The Main Attractions 🌠
1. Starry Night Camp ⛺🌌
If you’ve ever wanted to camp at a historic site, now’s your chance! For two nights, November 22-23 and November 23-24, you can check in at 5:00 PM and enjoy a peaceful night under the stars (check-out is by 10:00 AM the next day). Don’t worry if you’re new to camping—everything you need, including tents and tables, is included in your registration fee. Even first-timers will feel right at home. 🌙
- Cost: ¥4,000 for adults (High school age and older), ¥3,000 for kids (Middle school age and younger)
- Capacity: 18 groups per night, up to 4 people per group
2. Stargazing with a Guide 🔭✨
If camping isn’t your thing, maybe stargazing is! From November 22-24, head over for a guided tour of the night sky, where you can learn about the stars and planets. November is a special month, as Saturn will be visible in the sky—something that happens only once every 15 years! 🌍🌠
- Time: 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Cost: ¥2,500 for adults, ¥1,500 for kids
- Capacity: 30 people per night
3. Reverse Bungee Jump 🎢💥
Feeling adventurous? Try the reverse bungee jump, where you’ll be launched 18 meters into the air for a thrilling view of the castle and surrounding area. It’s the perfect activity for adrenaline junkies looking for a little extra excitement!
