🌟 A Celebration of Artistic Diversity

OkiTen stands as a testament to the resilient spirit of Okinawa, emerging in the aftermath of World War II with a mission to support the reconstruction of the homeland through cultural promotion. Over the years, it has blossomed into a grand display of artistic talent, now encompassing 12 diverse categories including painting, printmaking, sculpture, graphic design, calligraphy, photography, ceramics, lacquer art, dyeing, weaving, glass, and woodworking.

  • Adults: 1,200 yen (Advance: 1,000 yen)
  • Students (Elementary/Junior High/High School): 500 yen (Advance: 400 yen)
  • Preschool children: Free

Originally hosted in school buildings and nicknamed the “Gypsy Exhibition” due to its changing venues, the event has found a permanent home at ANA ARENA Urasoe since 1988, thanks to the cooperation of Urasoe City and the Urasoe City Board of Education. It’s now celebrated as a springtime festival of beauty, drawing in crowds eager to immerse themselves in the vibrant world of art.
