The 61st edition of this festival will take place across various locations in Nago City, including Nago Central Park, Sakura Park, and others. This event has consistently drawn large crowds, with the previous year seeing around 170,000 visitors.
Highlights of the Festival
Cherry Blossom Viewing at Nago Castle Park
Visitors can enjoy the beautiful Kanhi cherry blossoms along a 2-kilometer walkway in Nago Castle Park. This park, recognized as one of Japan’s top 100 cherry blossom spots, offers a blend of vibrant pink blossoms and untouched natural beauty, making it a prime location for both bird watching and forest bathing.

Events at Sakura Park
On January 27th, the Sakura Park festival stage will host an opening ceremony, followed by various performances and live music shows.

Parade on Nago Crossroads
Spanning January 27th and 28th, a festive parade will take place along the Nago Crossroads. The parade starts at 13:00 each day, featuring brass bands from local schools, dance performances, and a costume procession. Post-parade, the area will transform into a pedestrian haven with food trucks, drum performances, ice sculpture contests, and street dances.
