As a local design company based in Okinawa, we have had the privilege of participating in OkiTen, the largest art exhibition in Okinawa, every year since 2017. This annual event sees hundreds of artists from Okinawa and mainland Japan submit their artwork for a chance to be featured in the exhibition.
The selection process for OkiTen is rigorous, and only the finalists’ works are displayed in the annual exhibition. We are excited to announce that for the fifth consecutive year, our artwork has been chosen as one of the finalists for OkiTen 2023.
This year, we are showcasing our piece entitled “Mutsu No Okinawa,” which translates to “Okinawa’s January.” This piece is the first in our new collection, “12 Months of Okinawa,” which aims to capture the unique beauty and charm of each month in Okinawa through artwork.
We are thrilled to share this piece with the world, and we are also excited to announce that you can now purchase posters and other merchandise featuring this design and other designs from our “12 Months of Okinawa” collection on our website.
Being a part of OkiTen has been an honor for us and we are grateful for the opportunity to share our love for Okinawa and its culture through our artwork. If you are in Okinawa, we highly recommend you to visit OkiTen to see the amazing artworks from the local artists. You will be amazed by the creativity and the talents of the artist from Okinawa. Don’t forget to check out our artwork too!
